Class Schedule – Church School classes will be held on November 5, 19 and 26. There will be no classes on
November 12 (annual meeting).
Inclement Weather – In the event of inclement weather, check TV channel 3. If Divine Liturgy is canceled, there will be no Church School classes. If Divine Liturgy will be served but Church School classes are canceled, families will be notified by text.
Warm Clothing – As the weather gets colder, so do some of our classrooms, especially the K/grade 1 and grade 4 rooms. Please make sure your child is dressed warmly or that he/she brings a sweater to class which may be safely left there.
It is inappropriate for the children to keep on their outerwear (coats and jackets).
Birthdays – Happy birthday to Simion and Yuliya who are celebrating their birthdays in November.
Patron Saints Days – Congratulations to the following students who will observe their patrons saints in November.
7 – Karina (St. Karina) 16 – Matvii (St. Matthew)
8 – Grade 1 Class (St. Michael) 30 – Grade 2 class (St. Andrew)

Advent Confession – Fr. Andrii will hear confession from students and teachers on the following days during Church School time:
November 19 – Grades 4, 5 and 6 December 3 – Grades 7, 8 and teens December 17 – Young Adults
Confession during Advent is a responsibility for all Orthodox Christians.
- NICHOLAS CELEBRATION – This annual program to celebrate the great saint, Nicholas the Wonderworker, will be held on Sunday, December 10 in the church following Divine Liturgy. All Church School students are expected to participate. The schedule for the rehearsal date and performance date is below. If you know that your child will not be present for the rehearsal and/or the program, please see Sarah Bailly or Cynthia Sirick immediately. For last minute emergencies please text Sarah Bailly (860-212-3199) or Cynthia Sirick (860-798-1070).

Saturday, December 9
9:30 – 11:30 a.m. – Full rehearsal in the church for the St. Nicholas program for all Church School students
11:30 a.m. – Pick up for children in kindergarten, grades 1, 2 and 3
Followed by lunch, decorating the church hall and Christmas trees and making gifts for shut-ins
For students in grades 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and teens
Pick up time – 2:00 p.m.
Sunday, December 10
9:00 a.m. – Divine Liturgy
Followed by St. Nicholas program performed in the church by all of the Church School students.
PLEASE NOTE: NO GIFTS WILL BE GIVEN.
Nativity Pageant Costumes – We would appreciate help ironing the costumes for the Nativity Pageant. We have more children involved this year and, therefore, have more costumes to iron. See Cynthia Sirick to offer your help.
Costumes will be available for pick up on December 3 and must be returned on December 9 or 10.
STEWARDSHIP
Nativity Fast Toy Collection – This annual event will be held From November 19 through December 10. Please donate
new, unwrapped toys for the disadvantaged children in the Greater New Britain area. The toys should be placed in the collection boxes in the church hall foyer. Please sign a star on the Nativity icon after making your donation. Thank you.
