A CHANCE TO SERVE: Anyone who would like to serve the Church next year is invited to volunteer to serve on the Church Council. We encourage everyone who has been a full-pledged parish member for at least a year consider volunteering. Please see Vice-President Subdeacon Scott Kerry or Father Andrii.

ПЛАНУЄМО НАПЕРЕД: Ми святкуватимемо наш престольний день у неділю, 13 вересня. Наше Сестрицтво запропонує нам смачний спагетті-обід після служби. Квитки коштують $15 для дорослих, $10 для дітей 3–12 років, і безкоштовні для дітей до 3 років. Усі кошти підуть у фонд на відновлення нашого залу. Будь ласка, плануйте бути присутніми!

PLAN AHEAD: We will celebrate our parish feast day on Sunday, September 13. Our Sisterhood will offer us a delicious spaghetti lunch after the services. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for children 3-12 years old, and free for children under 3 years old. All proceeds will go to the fund for the restoration of our hall. Please plan to attend!

Please ensure your vehicle is positioned correctly before leaving it and coming to the church.

BASICS of Orthodox Christian Spirituality: 1) Belief in Jesus Christ as our Lord, God and Savior together with His Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit; 2) Daily prayer – morning, noon, and night; develop a rule; 3) Weekly worship – Sunday Divine Liturgy is essential; 4) Love of Neighbor – everyone is your neighbor; 5) Almsgiving – sacrificial giving to needy; 6) Fasting weekly – Wed., Fri., Sunday for communion; seasonal and certain days as prescribed by the Church; 7) Sacramental Participation – Confession, Holy Communion regularly and other Sacraments by God’s calling; 8) Reading of Scripture daily; memorize and study; 9) Education – catechism, Bible study, retreats, seminars. (active learning); 10) Support the Mission of the Church – stewardship of time, talents, treasure; 11) Ethical/Moral life & purity – including thoughts, words, and actions.

JOIN OUR Prayer Group. We get together on Sunday morning at 8 AM and read prayers of preparation for the receiving of Holy Communion. Let’s fill the house of our Heavenly Father with prayers before we welcome His Son in our midst, and accept the gift of the Holy Spirit. “My house shall be called a house of prayer.”

TODAY – 11:30-1:30 – Youth Ministry mini golf event for parish children (K through 12) and young adults at Safari Golf, 2340 Berlin Turnpike, Berlin. Families are encouraged to bring snacks or lunches to enjoy on the deck. Participants should meet on the deck by 11:30.

Happy birthday to Clara and Margarita, both of whom will be celebrating that event in the coming week.

Church School will begin on Sept. 20. Children who are eligible should be registered in Kindergarten – grade 8 in public, private or homeschool at that level. The child must have at least 1 parent who is a member of this parish. Information will be mailed shortly.
