2026 UOL Essay Contest is announced. Topic ideas for the 2026 essay contest: Pre K and Kindergarten: Please draw a picture of the Garden of Eden and do not forget the Special Apple tree. Grades 1 and 2: Please draw a picture of Moses in the basket hidden in the tall grass by the river and write two to three sentences on why it was so important that Moses be kept safe. Grades 3 and 4: In John 13:34-35 Please write 50 to 100 words explaining your answer. Grades 5 and 6: When we say the Lord’s Prayer, we ask for is protection. In which lines of the Lord’s Prayer do we ask Him for protection and why is it important for us to do that? Using your teachings as an Orthodox Christian please write 75 -150 words explaining your answer. TODAY – Classes will be held.

CHANGE IN SCHEDULE FOR NEXT SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 8 – Classes will be held 10:00 – 11:00 am. ЗМІНА В РОЗКЛАДІ НА НАСТУПНУ НЕДІЛЮ, 8 ЛЮТОГО – Заняття будуть з 10:00 до 11:00.

TODAY at the close of Liturgy, Fr. Andrii will bless all of the scouts of the parish, American and Ukrainian.  They should come forward when called. Girl Scouts of America – Cora Josefiak. Cora Josefiak will continue to take orders for Girl Scout cookies to the end of February.

February 15: Father will bless the candles that the 1st Confession class students will carry for the solemn Liturgy the day after confession and he will present them to the youngsters.  Please make sure your 3rd grade students are in church that day.
February 22:  Annual Youth Ministry Pre-Lenten Party in the church hall from noon until 2:00 (after Church School classes).  All parish children, teens and young adults are welcome.  There will be pizza and make your own sundaes!
