Procession – The procession for the Great Entrance is once more taking place.  All children are welcome to participate. They should come forward as the hymn for the procession begins, take an icon and line up in front of the first pew.  If we run out of icons, they should still stay in the procession.

Presentation of Candles – On February 2, Fr. Andrii will bless the candles the children in our First Confession class will carry for Communion in June.   He will present those candles to the students during Divine Liturgy on February 5. The students in this class are Olivia Irvin and Arina Sashchenko.

Scout Sunday – February 5 is Scout Sunday.  Father Andrii will bless all scouts and scout leaders during Divine Liturgy on that day.  If your student is a scout  or you are a leader – Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts of USA, CYM, Plast – please give those names to Cynthia  Sirick (czsirick@gmail.com) by February 2 so they may be listed in the February 5 Sunday bulletin.

“Pennies  from Heaven” – Our annual Lenten alms-giving program will begin on February 26.  Containers will go home on that day and we ask children to collect donations for a worthy charity (still to be determined).  This program will continue until April 23.

YOUTH MINISTRY

Pre-Lenten Party – It’s back!  The annual pre-lenten party will be held on Sunday, February 26 from 12:30 – 2:30 in the church hall to which all of the children in the parish are invited.  It will include games, activities, pizza and a make-your-own sundae dessert.  Information will be sent out in mid-February.

We wish all of you a year blessed with health, happiness and, above all, peace.
