Student News – We would like to list graduations (high school and above, including adults), awards and special accomplishments (academic and extra-curricular) in our June 19 Sunday bulletin.  Please give that information to Cynthia Sirick (czsirick@gmail.com) in writing by June 15.

STEWARDSHIP

“Pennies from Heaven” – We ask that all students bring their collections to Divine Liturgy on May 1 when they will give them to Fr.  Andrii.  Heartfelt thanks to the students, families and friends who contributed to this annual Lenten activity.  All of the proceeds will go to Maidan United for Ukrainian relief. The amount collected will be published as soon as all collections have been returned.

YOUTH MINISTRY

Memorial Day – We will once again be helping to place flags on the graves of veterans at our parish’s cemetery for Memorial Day, an activity chaired by Kim Irvin.  We will be meeting at the cemetery on Saturday, May 28 at 10:00 a.m.  We encourage not only Church School students but also teens and young adults as well as their families to help with this project.

In the event of rain, the activity will automatically be canceled.  If the weather is questionable, a text will be sent to families between 8:30 and 9:00 that morning.  Remember that much of the cemetery is often wet so wear appropriate shoes.  Let’s dedicate this small amount of time to honor those who have dedicated their service to us.

LOOKING AHEAD:

June  5 – Last class of the school year
June 11 – First Confession for students in grades 3 and 4
June 12 – Holy Communion for the First Confession class
June 19 – Church School awards
