CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING: The regular monthly meeting is scheduled for TODAY, during “Coffee
and…” in the parish hall.
LENTEN MISSION: Missions will be held this coming Saturday, April 5. Confessions will be heard by Fr.
Stephen Masliuk (English) and Fr. Boryslav Kroner (Ukrainian) starting at 9:00 AM. Liturgy will begin at
10:00 AM!
ВЕЛИКОПІСНА МІСІЯ: Місія відбудуться у цю суботу, 5 квітня. Сповідати будуть о. Степан Маслюк
(англійською) та о. Борислав Кронер (українською), починаючи з 9:00 ранку. Літургія розпочнеться о

THE EASTER FESTIVAL is scheduled for Saturday, April 12. Please plan and help to prepare for the
festival. We will be baking paskas on Wednesday and Thursday, April 9 and 10, at 10 AM. Monetary
donations are welcome to cover the cost of ingredients! The pre-order form is posted in the hall. We will bake
raisin paskas ONLY! LARGE – $10, SMALL – $7. We appreciate a donation of 4 dozen eggs from Anne
Bailly!

CULTURAL: We want to decorate the parish hall with pysanky for Pascha. Teresa Linck has egg outlines.
Take one, and let your creativity flow. Bring your signed eggs back by April 6 and receive a prayer card.

CONFESSION: Father Andrii can hear Confessions before or after any of the Lenten services or before
Divine Liturgy on Sunday. Please arrive early! on Sunday morning for Confession so this won’t interfere with
the beginning of the Divine Liturgy.  PLEASE NOTE:  Parishioners who receive Communion frequently
should go to Confession regularly but not less than four times a year (Great Lent, Fast of the Apostles,
Dormition Fast, and Nativity Fast). To be in good standing with the Church, all Orthodox Christians are
required to attend Confession and receive Communion at least once a year; Great Lent is an ideal time to fulfill
this spiritual obligation. All parishioners who receive Communion should fast (no food or drink) from midnight
until the point of receiving Communion. If someone has a medical condition that requires them to take the
medication in the morning, they may be released from fasting with the priest’s blessing. Children under the age
of seven are also released from fasting. However, their parents are encouraged to let them try.
СПОВІДЬ: Отець Андрій може вислухати вашу Сповідь до або після будь-якого з Великопосних
богослужінь або перед Божественною Літургією. Будь ласка, приходьте раніше в неділю на Сповідь,
щоб це не завадило початку Божественної Літургії. ЗАУВАЖТЕ, що парафіяни, які причащаються
щонеділі, повинні приходити до Сповіді регулярно, але не менше чотирьох разів на рік (Великий піст,
Піст Апостолів, Успенський піст, Різдвяний піст). Всі православні християни повинні посповідатись і
причаститись хоча б раз на рік, щоб бути в духовній єдності з Церквою. Великий піст є найкращим
часом для виконання цієї духовної вимоги. Всі парафіяни, які приймають Причастя, повинні постити (не
їсти та не пити) з опівночі до моменту прийняття Причастя. Напередодні ввечері прийнято читати
особливі молитви перед Святим Причастям (див. Молитовник). Якщо хтось має захворювання і
змушений приймати ліки вранці, їх можуть звільнити від посту з благословення священика. Дітей віком
до 7 років також звільняють від євхаристичного посту. Однак, батьки можуть дозволити їм спробувати.
CEMETERY Christmas Decorations and spring cleanup: Please remove all Christmas arrangements by March
31.  If not removed, they will be removed by the cemetery committee. Please clean up dry and overgrown
vegetation around headstones.  Any unmaintained headstones will be cleaned at the discretion of the cemetery
committee. WATER: the plan is to turn the water on mid-to-late April, temperatures pending, Thank you.

Church School classes will be held today.
Fr. Andrii will hear confessions from the students in 8th grade as well as teens and young adults on SUNDAY,
APRIL 6 following Divine Liturgy.
PENNIES FROM HEAVEN – The Church School‘s annual alms-giving collection is presently happening.
This year we are asking for donations for the Prudence Crandall Center for Women in New Britain. It provides
safety, support, and education for women and children who find themselves in unsafe places. This event will
continue through April 27. Please be generous.
