BLESSING OF HOUSES FOR THEOPHANY: Fr. Andrii is blessing the homes of our parishioners with Theophany waters. Visits can be made in the morning, afternoon, or evening. “SONGS of Ukrainian Ephiphany” Concert will take place at Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center in West Hartford on Friday evening, January 19, at 7 PM. The Yevshan Ukrainian Vocal Ensemble will perform the concert. There is no charge for admission, though goodwill donations of $20 are encouraged.
MANY THANKS go to Peter Zelenuik and his helpers Lou Frac, Carol Giantonio, and Paul and Donna Frac for cleaning snow around the church the past Sunday. May God bless Peter with many healthy years!

UOL NEWS: Now that the football season is over and many are planning for Super Bowl Sunday, the UOL is making plans, too. We are preparing for our Annual Souper Bowl Sunday fundraiser for St. Andrew’s Society, which will take place on February 11 immediately after Liturgy. Remember, St. Andrew’s Society supports soup kitchens in Ukraine. Now more than ever, the people in Ukraine need our help. Come and enjoy mouth-watering soups prepared by your fellow parishioners. Last year, over $12,000 was donated by UOL chapters. Help us make this year even better!
WAR IN UKRAINE: A unique “Ornaments for Heroes” project is coming to an end. Our Nativity tree will be moved out soon. So, act quickly! You can buy yellow-blue ornaments for $20, 50, and 100 and place them on the tree in the church. Ornaments will be located on the first pew, right before our tree. All proceeds will go to buy supplies for our heroes in Ukraine.

CHILDREN of our parish will be going out to carol for our shut-ins today, after school classes. Please inform Fr. Andrii if your child will be participating. Pizza and other refreshments will be served after the trip. Let’s spread the joy of the Nativity of our Lord!

PLEASE CONSIDER that the $520 yearly dues do NOT include the amount per member that we send to support our Metropolia, which is $100. As a result, we have to take $100 from the $520 amount, leaving us only $420 per member to pay for church expenses for the entire year. We would greatly appreciate you including this amount for Metropolia dues as extra to your regular contributions. $620 would be the amount for both Church and Diocese dues.

Happy birthday to Olivia and Natalie, who celebrated their birthdays earlier in the month, and to Arina, who will be celebrating in the coming week.
Congratulations to the following students who observed their patron saints days recently: Emma – St. Emelia and Genevieve – St. Genevieve, both on January 3. Also, congratulations to Anthony, whose patron saint’s day for St. Anthony the Great will be on Jan. 17. All three children will celebrate today with their classmates.
