CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING: The regular monthly meeting will be held next Sunday, December 17, during “Coffee and…” in the parish hall. Council members are requested to make every effort to attend this meeting. 2024 Council members will take the oath of office after Liturgy that day.
BREAD AND POPPYSEED rolls baking is scheduled for Wednesday, December 13, and Thursday, December 14. We need all the help we can get, both in the morning at 10 AM and later in the day. If you can’t come and help, please donate toward the cost of ingredients. Please see Anne Bailly to offer your monetary donations. We need 2 gallons of whole Milk, one four-pound bag of Sugar, and 1 gallon of CORN oil. Thank you to Ann Romanyshyn for donating 6 pounds of butter and Dr. Joan for donating eggs and oil.

DUES REMINDER: We will close our dues payment books for 2023 on Sunday, December 31. Please make all payments by then. Otherwise, any amounts received after the 31st will be credited for 2024.
CONFESSION: Father Andrii can hear confessions after Saturday services or before Divine Liturgy on Sunday. Please arrive early on Sunday morning for Confession so this won’t interfere with the start of the Divine Liturgy. PLEASE NOTE: Parishioners who receive Communion regularly (every Sunday) have to come to Confession not less than four times a year! (Great Lent, Fast of the Apostles, Dormition Fast, and Nativity Fast). Please prepare yourself for the sacred reception of Christ at the Nativity Liturgy. Those who receive Communion should fast (no food or drink) from midnight up to the point of receiving Communion. The night before, it is customary to read special prayers before Holy Communion (or come and pray with us at 8 AM on Sunday). If someone has a medical condition and has to take medication in the morning, they can be released from fasting with a blessing from the priest. Children under the age of 7 are also released from fasting; however, their parents are encouraged to let them try.

A unique “Ornaments for Heroes” project is starting today in our parish. You can buy yellow-blue ornaments for $20, 50, and 100 and place them on the tree in the church. Ornaments will be located on the first pew, right before our tree. All proceeds will go to purchase necessary supplies for our heroes in Ukraine.

NATIVITY FAST will continue till Monday, December 25. Let’s journey through this sacred season with a renewed personal commitment to fasting, prayer, works of Christian charity, and frequent participation in the sacramental and liturgical life of the Church according to the teachings of our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ.
