UOL CHRISTMAS Projects: Christmas is coming. We want to bring Joy to children this Holy Season by supporting 1) a St. Nicholas Celebration at a church and 2) Operation Christmas Child for children around the world, including Ukraine. Please experience the Love of Christmas by donating small gifts for girls and boys of all ages now through the end of October. Suggested items: toys, crafts and activities, clothing and accessories, personal care items, candy. We will also accept ‘lightly used’ items. Place your donations in the box in the church hall. WHY GO TO CHURCH? Reason #1: Because we are made to worship: We are all spiritual in that we have a soul; we are all religious in that we show reverence, love, and devotion through ceremonial prayer to the things our soul considers sacred. To deny one or the other or both is to deny the essence of who we are as humans. We are made in the image and likeness of God. The first four commandments are related to the spiritual-religious worship of God. 1) I am God, don’t have any others; 2) No idols; 3) Do not use the Lord’s name in vain; 4) Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. God knows us. He made us. If we do not worship the God of the Bible, the Father with His Son our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, then we will worship something or someone else. That’s an idol. We go to Church to fulfill who we are, to do what we were made to do. Could anyone honestly say I am a student and not attend school?

Church School classes will be held today. Parents are reminded to send in a yellow registration form with each of their children if they have not already done so. Please see Sarah Bailly if you need another copy.
IMPORTANT – We will no longer be accepting registration for the kindergarten/first-grade class due to limited space. We look forward to welcoming additional children in the 2024-2025 school year.
LOOKING AHEAD – Fall Costume Party on Sunday, October 29 in the church hall at 12:30 following Church School classes. All parish children are invited. Information will be emailed to families in the coming week.
Much gratitude goes to Kathleen Ustasnowski, who once again donated $50 for postage to mail Sunday bulletins to shut-ins. We are so very grateful for her continuous support. May God grant Kathleen MANY BLESSED YEARS! MNOHAYA LITA!
