THE TRINITY MEMORIAL Saturday before the Feast of Pentecost is reserved in the Orthodox Church to commemorate all departed pious Christians, with the idea that the occasion of the coming of the Holy Spirit not only consists of the process of the salvation of living humanity, but that the departed also participate in this salvation. Therefore, the Church sends up prayers on Pentecost for the enlivening of all the living, as well as the departed souls by the Holy Spirit, which they were granted while they were still living, because ‘all souls are enlivened by the Holy Spirit.’ In our church, we will serve Divine Liturgy on Saturday, May 30, at 9 AM. Please submit your commemorative lists.

TODAY – All of our parish family and friends are invited to the church hall after Liturgy for a Mother’s Day treat of strawberry shortcake. Thanks to Kathy Santa Maria for her donation of strawberries.
The Youth Ministry will be placing flags on the graves of veterans on Saturday, May 23 at 10:00 am weather permitting. Please help to pay homage to those who served to keep us safe. Contact Kim Irvin or Heather Duffy with questions.
Church School Attendance awards will be presented on Sunday, June 7 at the close of Liturgy.
First Confession preparation for 3rd grade students will be held on Saturday, May 30. Solemn communion will be on Pentecost Sunday, May 31.
The Youth Ministry’s annual bowling event will be held on Sunday, June 7 from 12:30 – 3:00 pm at Lessard Lanes in Plainville. All parish students, teens and young adults have received invitations. Please fill in the tear off section at the bottom of the sheet and return it to Helen Zeleniuk as soon as possible even if you are unable to attend.
