Birthdays \u2013 <\/strong>Happy birthday to the following students who will be celebrating their birthdays in June and August:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n First Confession Class \u2013 <\/strong>Our 3rd<\/sup> grade students, Olivia Eve Irvin and Arina Sergiivna Sashchenko,<\/strong> will meet with Fr. Andrii and their teacher, Sarah Bailly, in the church hall on Saturday, June 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. <\/strong>to prepare for and make their first confessions.\u00a0 These students are asked to meet in the church hall on Pentecost Sunday, June 4 at 8:30 a.m. <\/strong>to go in procession to the church for Divine Liturgy.<\/p>\n Church School Graduation \u2013 <\/strong>Eighth grade students Clara Michelle Duffy and Natalie Ann Szwez <\/strong>will graduate from Church School on Sunday, June 11 <\/strong>during Divine Liturgy.\u00a0 They are asked to meet with their teacher, Melissa Josefiak, in the church hall at 8:45 a.m. <\/strong>that day to go in procession to the church.\u00a0 May God grant Olivia, Arina, Clara, and Natalie MANY BLESSED YEARS!\u00a0 MNOHAYA LITA!<\/p>\n Attendance Awards \u2013 <\/strong>Church School awards for best attendance in each class will be presented during Divine Liturgy on Sunday, June 11.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cPennies from Heaven\u201d \u2013 <\/strong>Thanks to our Church School students, their families and friends, our Lenten alms-giving activity, \u201cPennies from Heaven,\u201d raised $1,300 which was donated to our parish\u2019s Aid to Ukraine committee.\u00a0 God bless all of you who participated.<\/p>\n YOUTH MINISTRY <\/strong><\/p>\n Mother\u2019s Day \u2013 <\/strong>Many thanks to all who helped prepare, serve and clean up for this much anticipated strawberry shortcake treat for the women of our parish.\u00a0 It was a happy day.<\/p>\n Father\u2019s Day \u2013 June 18 \u2013 <\/strong>We will once again be serving apple pie and ice cream to honor the men of our parish on this\u00a0 day as well as serving the usual \u201cCoffee and\u2026\u201d\u00a0 We ask our students and graduates to help in setting up, serving and cleaning up.<\/p>\n Bowling Event \u2013 <\/strong>Our loving thanks go to Helen Zeleniuk for chairing this event which had not been held since the covid epidemic.\u00a0 Twenty children attended and had a fantastic time.\u00a0 We are grateful to Helen for taking on this responsibility.\u00a0 An anonymous donor generously paid for this entire event.<\/p>\n Memorial Day \u2013 <\/strong>Once again we thank Kim Irvin for chairing the project of laying flags on veterans\u2019 graves in our cemetery.\u00a0 She also ordered the new flags that were paid for by a donation from Andrea Tolomea, Emrick Prestash\u2019s daughter, in his memory. Those participating in this activity were: Fr. Andrii, Kim, Lilah and Olivia Irvin, Heather, Clara and Genna Duffy, Melissa, Lou and Cora Josefiak, and Nataliya and Arina Sashchenko.\u00a0 May God grant all who participated in these events MANY BLESSED YEARS!\u00a0 MNOHAYA LITA!<\/p>\n Our Church School and Youth Ministry are blessed to have a dedicated team who work together throughout the year to maintain a program to provide religious education and activities for our children in a relaxed and loving environment.\u00a0 We give heartfelt thanks to God for blessing us with such a team: Fr.
