\nRevised Mask Policy \u2013<\/strong> As local school systems have revised their mask-wearing policy, we will follow their lead.\u00a0 As of this Sunday, March 6<\/strong> masks will be optional for faculty and students for the time being.\u00a0 This revised policy will allow parental decision for their children as well as individual decision of faculty members.\u00a0 We will respect whichever decision parents and faculty decide.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Orthodoxy Sunday \u2013 <\/strong>This important day is celebrated on the first Sunday of Great Lent, March 13.\u00a0 <\/strong>It commemorates the return of the holy icons to the Orthodox Church.\u00a0\u00a0 Father will once again lead the procession of icons at the end of Divine Liturgy.\u00a0 Our children are invited to participate.\u00a0 Icons are available for them or they may bring them from home.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pennies from Heaven \u2013 <\/strong>Our annual Lenten almsgiving activity, \u201cPennies from Heaven\u201d <\/strong>will be held from March 6 to May 1.\u00a0 <\/strong>Containers will be sent home this Sunday, March 6.\u00a0 All donations will go to the Maidan United Humanitarian Fund <\/strong>to aid our brothers and sisters in Ukraine.\u00a0 Please be generous.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Confession \u2013 <\/strong>All Orthodox Christians are expected to receive the sacrament of Holy Penance during Great Lent.\u00a0 The following schedule for our students will be held during Church School class times:<\/span><\/p>\n

- Sunday, April 3 \u2013 grades 5 and 6<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
- Sunday, April 10 \u2013 grade 7 and teens<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Please make sure your child comes to Confession prepared <\/strong>through prayer, fasting <\/strong>(no food or drink after midnight on Saturday) and examination of conscience.<\/strong>\u00a0 If your student is unable to participate during the scheduled time, please make arrangements with Fr. Andrii for another time.<\/span><\/p>\n
